We are David and Catherine Earley!

We were married 8 January 2011 and we (okay, Catherine) started this blog to share our lives with friends and family that we don’t see every day.

David has a Bachelor of Arts in World Literature. We moved to the state of Washington when David was offered a job at Bungie where he is a full time video game test lead. David plays any sport he can, whenever he can. He has been a fan of the NC State Wolfpack, the Green Bay Packers, and the New York Yankees his whole life. The Seattle Seahawks quickly became his favorite NFL team when they drafted former NC State quarterback, Russell Wilson. David is always wearing a hat.

Catherine has a Master of Social Work and is working full-time for the YMCA as the Aquatics Director. She was raised in a small town, prefers Coca-Cola, has only owned Apple computers, and is an only child. Catherine doesn’t cook.

We spend most of our spare time watching one of the 20-or-so television shows we follow, playing video games, reading, watching football, or staring adoringly at our pup, Ransom. 

Lyra (ˈlī-rə) Clare was born on Thanksgiving Day 2013. Coincidentally, this was also her due date. She has brought nothing but joy to our lives since the moment she was born and we are better human beings because of her.

Ransom is a Bluetick Coonhound and was born on 7 December 2010. Ransom was named after Elwin Ransom from C.S. Lewis’ The Space Trilogy. He spends most of his spare time sleeping on various surfaces in our house.
