It’s the last week of September and by the end of this week most of your favorite television shows will finally be back to their regularly scheduled programming!

Thanks to this handy chart, ew, and tv line, I’m easily able to keep up with our favorite shows and figure out which new shows we want to give a chance. David and I watch (according to some people) an absurd amount of television, but there are so many good shows on now, who wants to choose?

The new shows we’ve checked out already this season are Up All Night, Free Agents, The Playboy Club, New Girl, and Pan Am. (We want to backtrack and check out Person of Interest.) We plan on catching Terra Nova tonight, Grimm in October, and Alcatraz when it premieres midseason.

We pretty quickly axed Free Agents. Up All Night is funny so we hope it only gets better from here. New Girl wasn’t as funny as it could have been, but I have high hopes that it will evolve into a pretty great show. David’s pretty iffy on The Playboy Club and Pan Am. I think if I had to choose, I would stick with Pan Am, but we’ll probably give them both at least one more episode.

As for the shows we already watch, that’s a pretty big list. In no particular order we watch: House, Chuck, Fringe, Bones, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy, Californication, Mad Men, Weeds, Community, Dexter, Castle, Parenthood, Raising Hope, The Walking Dead, Glee, Hawaii Five-0, Modern Family, The Office, Game of Thrones, and Cougar Town. This does not include the reality shows I watch (Project Runway, So You Think You Can Dance).

We still haven’t checked out Boardwalk Empire (which we want to do) or watched the last season of Entourage (which we plan to do).

What are your favorite shows? What new shows have you tried this season? Does anyone else think Nick Dalton (The Playboy Club) sounds exactly like Don Draper (Mad Men)?!
