RenFair, Apple Orchard, and a Chocolate Lounge

Okay, let’s try this again. I’m going to tell you about our lives this time and try not to get side tracked by Chick-Fil-A openings….
We are busy. Really busy. But at least we’re busy with some fun things. Last weekend we went to the Renaissance Fair in Charlotte with David’s brother-in-law and sister. Now, Renaissance Fairs are cool and all, but it was Sci-Fi weekend so it was even better. We saw awesome things like stormtroopers in kilts, red scaly dragons, steampunks, and multi-winged fairies. We also watched a pretty neat duel, but weren’t able to stay for the duel to the death because we had to drive back to South Carolina (I told you we were busy).
This past weekend we went to Black Mountain, NC to visit David’s brother-in-law and sister. We went to Skytop Apple Orchard Friday which is one of my favorite things to do. Saturday night we went downtown in Asheville to visit a chocolate lounge. They served things including liquid chocolate, oaxaca (Mexican hot chocolate), and local brews (guess what David got), along with truffles, cakes, and cookies. Delicious.
Next weekend I have my first shower, we’re getting our wedding bands, picking out invitation paper, and it’s Halloween. Happy Halloween, everyone!!
